2019 Summer Softball

Divisions

This summer we will be offering 4 adult softball divisions:
  • Co-ed Upper 
  • Co-ed Lower
  • Men's Upper
  • Men's Lower
This summer we will be offering four (4) adult softball divisions. All divisions will play an eight (8) game schedule with a post-season tournament to follow. Inclement weather may affect season dates. Teams will register for Men's or Coed Leagues. Following registration, the season will begin with a two (2) week pre-season seeding tournament which will determine teams for Upper and Lower Divisions in each league.

Individuals that are not attached to any team may contact our office to be placed on a "Free-Agent" list that will be distributed to each team for consideration to add to roster.

Registration

Regular registration period: March 1 - April 29 
Late registration period: April 30 - May 13
Register at www.puebloparks.us or the Pueblo Parks and Recreation Office, 800 Goodnight Avenue, 81005, Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm

Minimum of six (6) teams per division, maximum of sixteen (16) teams per division



Fee

$450 per team, all divisions
Late fee of $50 per team assessed to during late registration period
All fees due at time of registration
Note: Teams are responsible for providing their own game balls throughout the season
          12-inch, 44 COR .375 compression softball (flight restricted softball) 

Season

All games played at City Park Field #3 or City Park Field #4
Pre-season seeding tournament: June 3 through June 14
Regular eight game season: June 24 through August 22
    Men's Lower Division, Mondays
    Men's Upper Division, Tuesdays
    Coed Lower Division, Wednesdays
    Coed Upper Division, Thursdays
    Make-up games will be scheduled on first available Friday

Post-season tournament:The end of season tournament will be held during the week following the end of the regular season! The top eight (8) teams in each division will play the end of season tournament on their regular game days August 26 - August 29!

Mandatory Captain's Meeting

Captains may attend one of two scheduled meetings: Tuesday, May 28 or Thursday, May 30.
Both meetings begin at 6:30 pm and will be held at the City Park Annex Building, 3400 Nuckolls Ave, 81005
 

Definitions of Levels of Play


Co-ed/Men's Upper (3 Homeruns per game)


Teams in this league consist of players that are knowledgeable of the game. They are more skilled and have the ability to display those skills regularly. Upper level teams are consistently able to identify and perform offensive or defensive strategies and abilities.

Note: Home runs exceeding the league limits will be deemed outs.

Co-ed/Men's Lower (3 Homeruns per game)


Teams in this league are built for the recreational aspect of softball with a lower level of competition. These players may or may not lack consistent knowledge and skills of offensive and defensive tactics. Many of these teams are work-organized teams or families and are here to have fun as their #1 priority.
Note: Home runs exceeding the league limits will be deemed outs.

Required to be completed by ALL teams and returned to Field Director before first scheduled game.
