Lifeguard Certification Classes

American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification Classes
Theses classes are for anyone wanting to be a lifeguard. After the successful completion of the class you will be
certified in the following: Life guarding, CPR and First Aid.

 

Pre-requisites: Must have a current life guarding certification from American Red Cross or equivalent certification from recognized organization. Must be 16 years of age by May 25, 2019. Must be able to swim 150 yards front crawl and 150 yards breast stroke without stopping, tread water for two minutes without the use of hands, and retrieve a 10 pound object from the bottom of the pool. Fee is $125 in addition to the in-water skills you will be required to complete online homework prior to the start of the class.

CLASS 1: March 23 to 27, 2020 (Spring Break)

Monday to Friday (5 days) from 1:00 to 5:00 pm 

Location: East High School, 9 MacNeil Rd. 81001

Registration January 6- March 10 (Space is limited!)

CLASS 2: April 6 to April 27, 2020 (7 nights)

Monday and Wednesday nights from 6:00 to 9:00 pm

Location: East High School 9 MacNeil Rd. 81001

Registration January 6- March 31 (Space is limited!)

Class 3: July 6 to July 17, 2020 (10 days)
Monday- Friday 10:30-12:30

Mineral Palace Pool, 1602 N. Santa Fe Ave. 81003

Registration January 6 -June 23  (Space is limited!)

Price is only $150


Pre-requisites: for class #3

1. Must be at least 15 years and 6 months by 7/06/20

2. Must be able to swim 150 yards of front crawl and 150 yards of breast stroke without stopping;

3. Tread water for two minutes without use of hands; and

4. Ability to retrieve a 10lb object from pool.

Lifeguard Recertification

$95 two-day class

Friday, May 22 4:00pm-8:00pm and Saturday May 23, 9:00am-1:00pm

This class is for people who have already passed an American Red Cross Lifesaving class but needs to be recertified.
