Lifeguard Certification Classes

American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification classes are for anyone wanting to be a lifeguard. After the successful completion of the class you will be certified in lifeguarding, CPR and First Aid and will be encouraged to apply for a lifeguard position with the city of Pueblo. 


Pre-requisites: must be at least 16 years old by Saturday, May 1, 2021; must be able to swim 150 yards of front crawl and 150 yards of breaststroke without stopping, tread water for two minutes without the use of hands and retrieve a 10lb object from pool bottom. In addition to the in-water time, you will be required to read and study your textbook and complete online homework.
