Lifeguard Certification Classes
Pre-requisites: must be at least 16 years old by Saturday, May 23, 2020*; must be able to swim 150 yards of front crawl and 150 yards of breaststroke without stopping, tread water for two minutes without the use of hands and retrieve a 10 lb object from pool bottom. In addition to the in-water time, you will be required to read and study your textbook and complete online homework.
Certification fee: $150
Recertification fee: $95
CLASS 1: Monday, March 23–Friday, March 27, 2020 (Spring Break)
Monday–Friday (5 days) from 1:00 to 5:00 pm
Location: East High School, 9 MacNeil Rd. 81001
Registration Monday, January 6- Tuesday, March 10 (space is limited!)
Fee: $150
CLASS 2: Wednesday, April 8, Wednesday, April 29, 2020 (7 nights)
Wednesday and Thursday nights from 6:00pm–9:00 pm
Location: East High School 9 MacNeil Rd. 81001
Registration: Monday, January 6–Tuesday, March 31 (space is limited!)
Fee: $150
Class 3*: Monday, July 6–Friday, July 17, 2020 (10 days)
Monday- Friday ,10:30-12:30

*For Class 3, individuals must be at least 15 years, 6 months of age by Monday, July 6.
Lifeguard Recertification (2 days)
Friday, May 22, 4:00pm-8:00pm and Saturday May 23, 9:00am-1:00pm

This class is for people who have already passed an American Red Cross Lifesaving class but needs to be recertified.
Registration: Monday, March 2- Friday, May 15, 2020
Fee: $95
Recertification pre-requisite: must have a current life guarding certification from American Red Cross or equivalent certification from recognized organization. Must be able to swim 150 yards front crawl and 150 yards breast stroke without stopping, tread water for two minutes without the use of hands and retrieve a 10 pound object from the bottom of the pool. In addition to the in-water skills you will be required to complete online homework prior to the start of the class.
