Our Mission

The mission of the Law Department is to provide quality legal services to the city in accordance with city Charter requirements. This mission is accomplished by providing prompt, courteous, and professional services.

Responsibilities

The City of Pueblo Department of Law (also known as the city Attorney's Office):

  • Institutes and defends civil litigation on behalf of the city
  • Prosecutes Municipal Court violations and appeals
  • Provides legal services to the City Council, Mayor, and all city departments

Staff

The office consists of:

  • 2 non-attorney staff
  • 6 full-time attorneys

  2. Who do I contact concerning a Municipal Court matter?
  3. Who do I contact when I have questions about the status of a police matter that has already been reported, or a charge against me?
