On Sunday July 21st, Cpl.Gene Ragulsky responded to the 1700 block of Palmer where a water main broke near the intersection of Palmer and Windsor. The main had broken and released a massive amount of water upon a house on Palmer. The force of the water was causing the roof to bow and the carport to visibly shake. The homeowners were an elderly couple who live there with their disabled son. The son had very limited mobility and needed assistance evacuating the residence. Corporal Ragulsky braved the extreme amount of water coming off the house and helped get the family out without anyone being harmed. His quick and selfless act is a testament to his character as an upstanding member of our department. Good Job Cpl. Ragulsky!
