PUEBLO POLICE INVESTIGATE SECOND HOMICIDE IN 2026

Pueblo, CO - On February 26, 2026, at approximately 3:26 a.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 2800 block of E. 14th street.

Upon arrival officers observed a deceased individual inside the residence and spoke to an injured person, who had been shot at least once. The injured person was later transported to the hospital, sustaining non-life-threatening injuries. 
Leandro Wanted

Detectives are investigating this case and have obtained an arrest warrant for 20-year-old Leandro Medina for First Degree Murder and Assault in the First Degree.

The Pueblo County Coroner’s Office will release the victim's identity.

This marks the City’s second homicide of 2026. There were zero homicides year-to-date in 2025.
