The Pueblo Police Department would like to thank the responsible members of the Pueblo community who did their part in assisting the city with its efforts to keep everyone safe during this dry season. Around 100 calls came in regarding fireworks being used within the city. This is significantly less than in years past. Officers wrote four citations and stated that what they saw in the way of fireworks was nothing like they used to be. As a result of less fireworks use, large crowds gathered for the Riverwalk fireworks display and the teams of officers were used to help safely move traffic out of the area upon its completion. THANK YOU!
