Pueblo Police Department Investigates Double Shooting and Homicide
Pueblo, CO― On December 26, 2024, at approximately 1:53 a.m., Pueblo Police officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of Egan Ave on a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located a male victim with a single gunshot wound and a deceased male. The surviving victim was transported to a local hospital and subsequently transferred to a hospital in Colorado Springs.
Officers requested the assistance of the Pueblo Police Department’s Crimes Against Persons Unit and Crime Scene Investigations. The deceased victim will be identified by the Pueblo County Coroner after appropriate notifications. The Coroner’s Office will determine the cause and manner of death. As this is an active, ongoing investigation. No arrests have been made at this time.
This is the City’s 20th official homicide in 2024. Pueblo Police are actively investigating additional suspicious deaths that occurred in September and December of this year that have not been deemed homicides at the time of this release. Homicides are defined as the killing of one human being by another. This is not an indication of determination of intent.
