On May 15, 2024, at approximately 8:30 a.m., Detectives and SWAT team members from the Pueblo Police Department responded to a residence in the 2800 block of 7th Avenue following up on a string of aggravated robberies that occurred over a two-week period in April 2024.
During the investigation, 31-year-old Gerad Romero was identified as a suspect in the armed robberies and Detectives were able to obtain an arrest warrant for Romero and a search warrant for his residence. Romero is suspected of robbing ten local businesses.
