On Tuesday August 27th Pueblo Police Cpl. Ragulsky and Officer Furney responded to an area of South bound I-25 on the South end of Pueblo regarding an older Male who appeared lost.
Upon arrival, they made contact with a 71 year old male named Arthur who stated he was from Santa Fe New Mexico and that he was walking home.
Arthur went on stating he rented a car and drove to Pueblo where he dropped it off. He added that he spent the night in a hotel and lost his credit card.
The officers believed the man was possibly exhibiting signs of Dementia but were able to get enough information from him to make a call to his wife who made arrangements with a family member in Colorado Springs to drive to Pueblo and pick him up.
During the wait for his ride, the officers made arrangements with the Police Department Community Services Volunteers to keep the man company. Cpl. Ragulsky even purchased the man breakfast out of his own pocket.
The Pueblo Police Department would like to commend Cpl. Ragulsky, Officer Furney and the members of the Community Services Division for their compassion and for taking the time to assist Arthur and his family in their time of need. Good Job!
