
On April 12, 2024, at approximately 1200 a.m., Officers observed a white sedan traveling westbound in the 600 block of West Northern Avenue at a high rate of speed. The vehicle was observed a short time later by Pueblo Police Detectives in the area, continuing to travel at a high rate of speed westbound in the 1500 block of West Northern Avenue. The vehicle then collided head on with a truck turning north onto the 1200 block of Beulah Avenue from eastbound Northern Avenue. It was learned from the investigation; the white sedan was an unreported stolen vehicle and was being driven without the headlights on. There were three occupants in the white sedan at the time of the crash. Two of the occupants in the sedan were found to be deceased by the responding rescue personnel. The third occupant of the vehicle, and the driver of the truck were transported to a local area hospital with life threatening injuries.
Pueblo Police Department Traffic Investigation units and Crime Scene Investigation Detectives responded to process the scene. This is still an open and active investigation. The names of the deceased will be released by the Pueblo County Coroner’s Office at a later date and time.
