
On March 17, 2024, approximately 10:05 p.m., Officers responded to the 1200 block of E. 10th St. while investigating shots that were fired in the area. Utilizing Shot Spotter, the officers located the shooting location. Upon arrival, Officers observed several suspects in a red car actively shooting into a group of people. Police began a pursuit of the red car.
Officers located the red vehicle and several juveniles at an apartment complex near the 2200 block of E. 12th St. Officers confirmed the red vehicle was stolen. Several people were contacted in an apartment. During a search of the apartment, police found 2 handguns, and an AK-47 rifle. One of the handguns was confirmed stolen.
Police found one victim at the original scene with a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Pueblo Police crimes against persons detectives are investigating this shooting. No arrests have been made at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
