On November 18th, 2023, at approximately 12:45 A.M., dispatch began receiving calls for fires in Bessemer. The first report was in the 1300 block of E Abriendo Ave and within approximately thirty minutes, The Pueblo Fire Department and Pueblo Police Department responded to eight fires which included houses, businesses, a vehicle, bushes, and a fence.
Witnesses were able to provide a description of the female suspect, photos, videos and her direction of travel. While searching the area, officers located a female matching the description near the intersection of Aqua Avenue and Wyoming Avenue.
The investigation revealed that she had a torch and several other lighters in her possession and the last fire to be extinguished was in the alley that she had just exited when contacted by police.
Witnesses positively identified the female Arsonist as 30-year-old Sarah Moseley. Moseley was taken into custody on charges of 1st Degree Arson. After her arrest, there were no more fires reported.
