On October 20th, 2023, Detectives with the Special Investigation Division contacted two males in the 100 block of West Routt, who were taken into custody for outstanding warrants.
Detectives were able to see several guns, suspected narcotics, and drug paraphernalia inside three vehicles in the backyard of the residence. A search warrant for the vehicles was signed by a judge and all three vehicles were searched.
The search uncovered twenty-five firearms in total, including fifteen handguns, five rifles, and three shotguns, along with numerous rounds for each firearm.
Eight of the firearms recovered were discovered to be listed as stolen. Also recovered were varying weights of fentanyl pills, methamphetamine, cocaine, psilocybin mushrooms, a rifle rated bullet proof vest and two conversion kits for making weapons fully automatic.
