On Sunday, August 27, 2023, at approximately 12:50 a.m., Pueblo Police received information on a shooting in the 1200 block of Berwind Avenue. Police found an adult male deceased on scene. Three additional victims arrived at an area hospital via private vehicle. Two of those victims were transported to a Colorado Springs area hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Pueblo Police Crimes Against Persons detectives and Crime Scene Investigations units are investigating this death. The victim in this incident will be identified by the Pueblo County Coroner after appropriate notifications. This is the 19th homicide in Pueblo for 2023.
