PRESS RELEASE
The Pueblo Police Department is currently investigating a Homicide which occurred in the 200 block of East Northern Ave.
On July 15th at 2137 hrs The Pueblo Police Department sent officers to the area of Northern and Taylor on shots fired. Before officers could arrive there were reports of an auto accident that occurred at Eilers and Northern. The second call came in within two minutes of the shots fired call. When officers arrived at the accident scene, they found emergency medical personnel were already on scene and had transported the victim of the accident to the hospital via AMR. A short time later it was discovered that the accident and shooting incident were related when medical personnel discovered the victim had been shot.
When officers arrived in the area of Northern and Taylor they made contact with a small group of male subjects at the tavern parking lot which is at that intersection. Officers discovered that it was probably that location where the shots were possibly fired.
Once detectives arrived they were briefed as to the information Officers had and they were assigned various duties. The initial investigation revealed that this incident started off initially as an altercation between two groups, both groups were in cars, one group tried to get away from the other and was chased for a distance until they were able to lose the other car. The group that was being chased had called the victim during the incident to see if he could help so he responded and ultimately found the second group. Once in contact a confrontation ensued and the victim was shot. The victim fled the scene east on Northern from Taylor and crashed at Eilers and Northern probably due to injuries he had incurred from being shot. The name of the victim is David F. Sanchez Jr. a 40 year old male. This investigation continues.

The Pueblo Police have made an arrest of 21year old Randy Quaduor for the 2nd degree murder of David Frank Sanchez Jr.
The Investigations unit through the investigative process learned of a crime that was committed just prior to the shooting incident. A 20 year old male party by the name of Alejandro Anchondo has also been arrested for Menacing with a deadly weapon. This suspect menaced the decedent earlier and prior to the deadly shooting, there was another victim who was menaced by Anchondo and that was a 34 year old Raymond Bustamante. Bustamante was not injured during the earlier event. The investigation continues.
