Eastern Gateway Streetscape

First & Santa Fe Streetscape
The 1st Street and Santa Fe Avenue intersection is an important entrance to the central downtown. The focus of this project is to provide streetscape improvements at the intersection of 1st Street and Santa Fe Avenue and the east side of Santa Fe Avenue from 2nd Street to Hector Garcia Place. The project will install sidewalks, decorative paving, landscaping, gateway feature amenities, pedestrian lighting and enhanced pedestrian crossings. Lake Avenue Streetscape
The Urban Renewal Authority of Pueblo, in cooperation with the City Planning and Public Works departments, is initiating a project to beautify Lake Avenue corridor between St. Mary-Corwin Hospital and Pueblo Boulevard. Northern Avenue Streetscape
The streetscape on Northern Avenue from Orman Avenue to Elm Avenue was constructed in 1993. The planters, landscape and irrigation are in need of rehabilitation to enhance the Bessemer streetscape. New western waterwise perennials and irrigation system will be installed within the existing planters. The overall project is being funded with CDBG and citywide aesthetic funds.

Pueblo Boulevard Streetscape
The department, in cooperation with Public Works will be designing and coordinating the replacement of old sections of asphalt trail along the east side of Pueblo Boulevard The section of the original trail from Lehigh Avenue to Northern Avenue will be replaced with a 10' wide concrete trail. The landscaping along this corridor will also be upgraded to reflect the use of western landscape and lower maintenance needs....
