The Pueblo Police Department has one full time Crime Analyst. This Crime Analyst is responsible for collecting, collating, analyzing and disseminating information regarding crime trends and patterns. The Crime Analyst produces and disseminates reports regarding trends such as motor vehicle thefts, burglaries, robberies and thefts. Some reports contain temporal and spatial analysis such as location density (maps) and time and day analyses. These reports assist officers and detectives with ongoing investigations, daily patrol objectives, and intelligence gathering. Reports are often generated for command staff for allocation of resources as well. The Crime Analyst produces quarterly and annual crime statistical reports for command staff and the community.
