Pueblo Police Make Several Arrests in Recent Non-Fatal Shootings, Investigations Ongoing
Pueblo, CO— During the week of July 23 to July 30, 2025, detectives from the Pueblo Police IMPACT Unit secured seven arrest warrants and made arrests related to two separate non-fatal shooting investigations. The charges include Attempted 1st Degree Homicide, Attempted 2nd Degree Homicide, Complicity to Attempted 1st Degree Homicide, and Aggravated Robbery.
Below is a brief overview of each case and those who have been apprehended to date:
- On July 1, 2025, at approximately 3:30 a.m., Pueblo Police IMPACT Detectives were called to investigate a drive-by shooting that left one victim with a single, non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Although this investigation is still active, a detective has devoted significant time to the case, interviewing dozens of individuals and successfully identifying the driver and one of the two shooters involved in this premeditated shooting, which initially began at City Park about an hour and a half earlier that same night. The identified suspects are Marvin Arellano (20), who was arrested on the charge of Attempted 1st Degree Homicide, with a bond set at $350,000. Additionally, a 16-year-old male suspect was arrested and charged with Complicity to Attempted 1st Degree Homicide.
- On July 10, 2025, at approximately 2:30 a.m., Pueblo Police IMPACT Detectives were called to investigate a non-fatal shooting involving three victims, all with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds, during an attempted carjacking in which gunfire was exchanged between the suspects and the victims. After several days of investigation, countless hours of work, and the issuance of more than a dozen warrants, detectives identified five suspects. Quincy Stephens (20), Damion Trujillo (20), Marcus Pechek (19), and Juaquin Trujillo (19) were arrested on charges of Attempted 2nd Degree Homicide and Aggravated Robbery, each with a bond set at $200,000. A 16-year-old male suspect remains at large. Stephens and Damion Trujillo remain in custody at the Pueblo County Jail, while Pechek was released on bond after spending five days and 23 hours in custody. Juaquin Trujillo was also released on bond after spending three days and five hours in custody.
These arrests and ongoing investigations are a testament to the hard work and dedication of the four detectives who comprise the Pueblo Police Department’s IMPACT/Non-Fatal Shooting Team.
