Pueblo, CO—  On July 5, 2025, at approximately 3:30 a.m., Pueblo Police officers were patrolling the downtown area and approaching the intersection of Union and Grand Avenues when they were flagged down by the owners of a local bar.

The owner pointed out a man dressed in all black who was walking across the street. This suspect had just thrown a chair through the large front window of the bar. Officers also learned that before damaging the bar, the man had broken the large window of an empty business.

As the suspect fled on foot through the El Pueblo History Museum parking lot and onto City Center Drive, officers pursued him and were able to apprehend him without incident.

The suspect, Ramiro Hijar, 26, was taken to the Pueblo County Detention Center and booked on two counts of Criminal Mischief.
