Two Females Killed in Vehicle/Pedestrian Crash, DUI Arrest Made
Pueblo, CO- On June 11, 2025, at approximately 2:00 a.m., Pueblo Police were dispatched to the northbound I-25 on ramp at 13th Street on a call of a vehicle involved in an accident and stopped on the railroad tracks.
Upon arrival, officers located the vehicle on the tracks and two injured females. One female was deceased at the scene, and the other was transported to a local hospital, where she died from her injuries shortly after arrival.
The Pueblo Police Traffic Investigation Unit and Investigations Division were called to further investigate and process the scene.
Patrol officers located the registered owner of the vehicle at his home. The owner, Carlos Miranda, 41, was interviewed and admitted to driving the vehicle involved in a crash. He stated that he was unaware he had hit two women and thought he had struck a dog. The investigation revealed that the two females were southbound on the on-ramp, pushing a bicycle, when they were struck by the vehicle traveling northbound on the ramp.
Miranda was processed and charged with Driving Under the Influence (DUI) and two counts of Vehicular Homicide. He was booked into the Pueblo County Detention Center on these charges.
