Third Officer Injured in Shooting on March 18 To Be Released from Hospital, Pueblo Police to Hold an Honor Escort for All Three Officers on April 12

Pueblo, CO― The Pueblo Police Department announced the third officer injured in a shooting on March 18 that left three officers shot and the suspect dead will be released from a local hospital on Saturday, April 12. The City of Pueblo and Pueblo Police will host an honor escort/welcome home procession beginning at 11:30 a.m. near the Pueblo Police Department at 200 S. Main Street.

Community members may park along Alan Hamel Ave. and in the Central Main Street Parking Garage. If arrival is prior to 11 a.m., parking will also be permitted in the Main Street Parking Garage across from the Municipal Justice Center/Pueblo Police Department at 200 S. Main St. Community member vehicles will not be permitted to park along the roadway on Main St.

Main St. will be closed at 11 a.m. from Alan Hamel Ave. to Abriendo Ave.  to allow the procession to travel south down Main St. Cross streets will be closed during this time. Public viewing will be available along the procession route on the east side of Main St. and will be managed by Pueblo Police.
