[ARCHIVED] Health Department Services Continue Off Site While Building Is Closed

Pueblo City-County Health Department activities scheduled off site in the community are continuing as scheduled while the building located at 101 W. 9th Street is closed.

“We want the public to know off site services and classes are occurring,” stated Sarah Joseph public information officer at the Pueblo City-County Health Department. She added, “The Health Department is hosting a Teen Driving class at Pueblo Community College this Friday and will take place as scheduled. Also, the Pueblo West WIC office is open.”

The Pueblo City-County Health Department building located at 101 W. 9th Street is closed to the public due to mechanical issues with the building’s cooling system. The Health Department anticipates the building will be open for services by Friday, July 22, 2011.

During the building closure, services that can be provided off site will continue on a limited basis (i.e. inspections, classes). Client services will not be provided at 101 W. 9th Street during the building closure.

Prerecorded information about public health services is available by calling the Health Department at 719-583-4300. Updates are also being provided on the Health Department’s website and Facebook.
