The Property and Evidence Section of the Pueblo Police Department is responsible for the intake, cataloging, and storage of evidence collected by officers related to their response to calls for service and related criminal investigations.

Officers collect evidence from various crime scenes, such as theft, burglaries, assaults, homicides, as well as traffic accidents and hit and runs.

The evidence is packaged and transferred to the custody of the Property and Evidence Section. The evidence is then reviewed for proper documentation and packaging and then cataloged and entered into secure storage.
