I need to remodel my house and will be renting a dumpster/roll-off for the debris. Do I need a permit?: No, you do not need a permit for the dumpster. However, the dumpster must be placed on the property being remodeled or cleaned. If this is not able to be accomplished then you must contact the Department of Transportation to get the permission of the Traffic Engineer for site placement and the dumpster must have retroreflective tape or barricades on the approach edge of the container. 1. I'm interested in finding out more about the I-25 Project. Who should I contact?: The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) is the entity in charge of the project. The project manager is David Miller. CDOT can be reached at (719) 546-5400.

2. I'm disabled and need a handicap parking sign posted outside my house. Who should I contact?: The City of Pueblo's Department of Transportation addresses the issue of installing handicapped parking signs for citizens. However, we do require that the driver of the vehicle have a permit for handicap parking, have a valid driver's license and the property has no driveway or other off street parking. 3. The streetlight in my neighborhood is out (or going on and off). I would like to contact someone to get the light repaired.: Black Hills is the service provider hired by the City of Pueblo to maintain and repair the streetlights. Please call the City of Pueblo's Department of Transportation at 719-553-2722 to report a problem.

4. We have speeding in our neighborhood. I would like to get a speed limit sign installed or another solution to reduce the speed on my street.: The City of Pueblo's Department of Transportation addresses the issue of installing speed limit signs. 5. The pedestrian signal is not allowing me enough time to cross the intersection. Can I get more time to cross?: Crossing time at a typical intersection is determined by the width of the street and the standard walking speed of 4 feet per second. Most pedestrian signals are adjusted for the typical walk speed. If the signal is not allowing enough time to cross either the pedestrian signal has gone out of the program or the button to activate the signal has not been pushed. These are usually the problem.
