PUEBLO—Due to the increased water flow and high water of the Arkansas River, the City of Pueblo Parks and Recreation Department has issued a temporary closure of a section of the Arkansas River Trail. This area is below City Park and is approximately 500 feet in length. The Arkansas River Trail trailhead at City Park up to the new pedestrian bridge will be closed until further notice due to high water over a section of trail.
“We want to inform the public of the closure,” said Director of Pueblo Parks and Recreation Steven Meier, “as well as remind everyone that this is the time of year that the river is flowing high and to always be cautious.”
Pueblo Parks and Recreation Department will update the public with additional information related to this closure as it becomes available.
For more information about this closure, contact Pueblo Parks and Recreation at 719-553-2790.
