[ARCHIVED] Online Liquor/Tobacco/Marijuana license renewal/application system training

Hello Pueblo Citizens and Businesses,

As you may have heard, the City of Pueblo is moving to an online portal to conduct much of its licensing, permits, and code enforcement. Pueblo PLACE, as it is called, will allow you to submit your renewals and complete new applications and updates to your licenses for Liquor, Tobacco, and Marijuana for the City Clerk's office. You will be able to see where your application is in the process and communicate with the various departments regarding questions or issues, and they will be able to request additional information as needed.

We will be holding an online webinar in conjunction with the Southern Colorado Small Business Development Center (SBDC) that will review the new site, show how to complete your application via the Pueblo PLACE portal, and answer any questions you might have regarding it. It will be on February 22nd at 10 a.m. and you can sign up at If you are not able to attend live, the webinar will be recorded and a link will be available to watch any time on the SBDC and City websites.

All new applications and license modifications will now need to be submitted through Pueblo PLACE. We will stop accepting paper renewal submissions on March 31, 2022. You can access the Pueblo PLACE portal at An email address is required to create an account to file your applications. If you are not able to access the portal from home or work, there is a kiosk located within the City Clerk’s office that is available for business use. We are also available to assist you with any questions you have while completing your application or renewal.

Please be aware that the first instance of submitting a license application into the system may be fairly complex and require documents you would have submitted with your original application. Rest assured that in future years, all this information will already be contained within the system and the renewal process should be extremely simple.

Please feel free to reach out to our office with any questions you may have.
