[ARCHIVED] Liquor Entertainment District

City-of-Pueblo-Seal wo corners

Greetings Pueblo Businesses,

I am Marisa Stoller, City Clerk for the City of Pueblo. My office oversees Tobacco, Liquor, and Marijuana licensing for the City, and even if your business is not among those, we wanted to add you to this informational blast to help aid government transparency and to allow your voice to be heard.

City Council has recently passed an ordinance allowing for Liquor Entertainment Districts within the City of Pueblo. These Entertainment Districts would allow groups of liquor licensed businesses to apply for the ability host a common outdoor area where customers would be able to purchase liquor from one establishment, then walk around the shared area outside while enjoying their drink. Only businesses located with the Entertainment District would be allowed to apply for this ability.

A proposed map of the Entertainment District(s) is being created, and we are looking for feedback from the public, but in particular from businesses that may be located in or around the proposed District(s). This map will be shared in a later message once it has been reviewed by City Staff. But for now, we would like you to mark your calendars for Tuesday, December 14th at 2 p.m., at City Council Chambers, 3rd Floor, 1 City Hall Place. This is the meeting where we will accept public comment and feedback regarding the proposed map.

If you are unable to make the meeting, you are also welcome to submit written feedback to the City Clerk's Office. This will be accepted in person at the Clerk's Office, located on the 1st floor of 1 City Hall Place, or via email at

If you would like to learn more about entertainment districts and common consumption areas between now and December 14th, you can review Pueblo Municipal Code Sections 11-3-71 through 11-3-78 and/or Section 44-3-301(11) of the Colorado Revised Statutes.
