Another great project is planned for City Park! A new bathhouse at the pool will be constructed and is expected to be open by the 2016 summer season. The city secured a bid with 2WR+Partners for the architectural design; a firm out of Denver, Colorado. The complete project is budgeted for $600,000.
A public open house is scheduled for Wednesday, June 10 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm outside the City Park pool bathhouse. “We would like the citizens to stop by the pool during the open house and let us know what they think of the design”, states assistant director of Pueblo Parks and Recreation, Mike Sexton. In case of inclement weather, the public open house will be moved to the City Park Annex building located by the tennis courts in City Park at 3900 Nuckolls Avenue.
