[ARCHIVED] Serenity Garden in Mineral Palace Park Dedication

On Tuesday, June 17 at 7:00 pm, the City of Pueblo Parks and Recreation Department will dedicate the new Serenity Garden in Mineral Palace Park. Formally the lily pond, the Serenity Garden features native flowers and trees, while providing a serene area to enjoy nature and spend time with family. A handcrafted bell created from recycled material by local blacksmith, artisan and artist, Aaron R. Williams of Dragon’s Breath Forge LLC, will provide the Serenity Garden with soft, serene notes of nature.

The public is invited to enjoy an evening of poetry and music to celebrate the Serenity Garden. The ceremony will feature: poetry of David A Martin published author, poet, blogger and artist; cello selections by Norah Joy Clydesdale, cello instructor at CSU-Pueblo and owner of the Clydesdale Music and Art Studio; and performances by local harpist, Kristy J Truan and classical guitarist, Andrew O’Such.

This $5,000 project was made possible by funding and donations from: Keep Pueblo Beautiful; Midtown McDonalds; Siloam Stone, Inc; Dragon’s Breath Forge, LLC; Old Historic Northside Organization; Cup & Bowl Ceramic Art Studio and Gallery; and other various area business and landscaping companies.
