Pueblo City Council Announces Call to Fill Vacant At-Large Seat

PUEBLO—Pueblo City Council announced their intention to fill the current vacancy of the At-Large seat on council, now vacant due to Heather Graham vacating the position to assume the position of Mayor of Pueblo. The person appointed shall hold office until December 31, 2025.

Pueblo City Council is seeking applications through the Pueblo City Clerk’s Office until Friday, Feb. 16 at 5:00 p.m. Individuals seeking to fill the vacancy and consideration for the position may submit a letter of interest and resumes to the Pueblo City Clerk’s Office. All pertinent information may be turned in via mail at One City Hall, Pueblo, CO 81003 or dropped off in person on the first floor of City Hall or via email at clerk@pueblo.us.

Interested individuals must be citizens of the United States and shall have resided within city limits for 12 consecutive months. The City Charter prohibits anyone who has been convicted of a felony, who holds any other elective public office, or who is an employee of the City of Pueblo to be considered as a candidate. A background check will be conducted.

All those wishing to be considered to fill the vacancy should also note Pueblo City Council intends to review applications at a Special Meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 20 and the top five candidates will be asked to attend another Special Meeting on Thursday, Feb. 22. Additional details regarding both meetings will be posted as a public meeting through the City Clerk’s Office and individuals chosen for interviews will be notified directly by the City Clerk’s Office.
