Rachel Bastain, the missing 9-year-old from Pueblo, Co. has been located in Daytona Florida. Rachel is with law enforcement authorities in Daytona, and she is healthy and safe. Rachel was located with her mother, Cassandra Bastain at a hotel in Daytona. Daytona authorities contacted them today’s date at approx. 6:45pm. Cassandra Bastain is in custody for kidnapping. The CBI missing and endangered alert has been canceled.
This successful recovery was a combined effort with PPD, FBI, and CBI as well as law enforcement agencies in the Daytona Florida area. Further details will be released when available, but the child is safe, and the mother is in custody for her kidnapping warrant. ###
