On Friday, January 27, 2023, around 5:30 AM, the Pueblo Fire and Police Departments responded to a structure fire in the 1600 block of Palmer Avenue.  A residence on the back portion of the property was fully engulfed in fire and smoke. Pueblo Fire Department Personnel fought the fire with several resources.  

During the firefighting efforts, a deceased person was located inside the residence. This individual will be identified by the Pueblo County Coroner’s Office at the appropriate time. The Pueblo Police Department is investigating the circumstances of this fire, but it is believed to be an isolated incident with no threat to the community.
