COVID-19 vaccines available statewide for all Coloradans age 5 and up Vaccination clinics

STATEWIDE (Nov. 19, 2021) — Colorado’s statewide COVID-19 vaccination campaign continues with dozens of clinics offering COVID-19 vaccines in communities across the state during this holiday week. Most clinics also offer flu vaccines, and it is safe to receive a COVID-19 vaccine and a flu vaccine on the same day.

All mobile vaccine clinics and many standalone clinics are offering  pediatric Pfizer vaccines for 5-11 year olds. Many sites are requiring appointments for children aged 5-11 to receive a vaccine, and CDPHE encourages parents and guardians to seek an appointment for their child’s vaccination. The state maintains an  updated list of providers administering Pfizer pediatric vaccines.

CDPHE recommends parents and guardians make a plan to get their children vaccinated. Vaccines are the safest, most effective way to slow the spread of COVID-19 and help avoid the worst outcomes -- severe illness, hospitalization, and death -- among those who do become infected. Getting vaccinated means kids can look forward to holiday activities, participate in extracurricular activities, have fewer interruptions to in-person learning, and see family and friends without worrying as much about getting COVID-19 or having to quarantine and miss out.

To have the greatest protection in time for the holidays, CDPHE also encourages all Coloradans age 18 and up to get a booster dose as soon as possible if it has been at least six months since they got their second dose of Pfizer or Moderna, or at least two months since they got the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

The state of Colorado is excited to partner with the Colorado Rockies  to host a COVID-19 vaccine clinic at Coors Field on Nov. 20. The clinic will be open for anyone age 5 and up to receive a first, second, or booster dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. This clinic will operate from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Coors Field at 2001 Blake St. in Denver. Those who get vaccinated can get a photo taken with Rockies mascot Dinger and receive additional giveaways including Rockies promotional jerseys, hats, and baseball cards while supplies last.  Advance appointments are available, and walk ups will be accepted.
