In order to address rising numbers of positive Covid-19 cases in the City and to ensure continued and uninterrupted municipal operations and in solidarity with the students of our community, the following order shall apply to all indoor spaces within City buildings which are operated by City staff:
- Members of the public shall be required to wear a mask or face covering when conducting business within or utilizing City facilities except when doing so would impact that person's health. City staff shall also be required to wear a mask or face covering when interacting with said members of the public except when doing so would impact that employee's health.
- This requirement shall be applied in a manner consistent with the Americans with Disabilities Act (42 U.S.C. § 12101 et seq.), Title VII of the Americans with Disabilities Act (42 U.S.C. § 2000e et seq.), the Colorado Anti-Discrimination Act (C.R.S. §24-34-401 et seq.), and any other applicable federal or state law. Department directors are authorized to make exceptions for City employees interacting with City staff where appropriate safeguards are otherwise in place.
- This Order shall take effect on August 30, 2021 at 7:00 a.m. and remain in full force and effect until rescinded by me pursuant to public notice.
