Community Invited to Celebration of Life Honoring Councilman Ray Aguilera

PUEBLO – It is with sorrow that the City of Pueblo announces the passing of Pueblo City Councilman Ray A. Aguilera on May 9, 2021. He was 78 years old. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 11 am in Bessemer Park. All are welcome. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chair. Arrangements and online condolences at

Says Mayor Gradisar, “The entire community mourns the loss of Ray, and I extend heartfelt sympathies to his family. Ray’s greatest love was his family, and closely following was his love for his City. From the outpouring of response we have received at City Hall, it is clear that love was reciprocated by his constituents.”

Ray served on Pueblo’s City Council as a representative of District 4.
