Mayor Nick Gradisar announced this afternoon that he is reopening the request for applications process for emergency loans and grants from the City of Pueblo for small businesses. The second round of the COVID-19 Emergency Business Loan and Grant Fund begins today, Tuesday May 26th and will close Friday, June 5th.
The grants and loans are for businesses in the city of Pueblo and the Airport Industrial Park. The COVID-19 Emergency Business Loan and Grant Fund is made up of five million dollars from the half-cent sales tax fund and was approved by the Pueblo City Council in April. It is being administered through the mayor’s office. During the first round, more than 500 requests for applications were made online.
Anyone who made a request for application during that first round should know that they are not eligible to apply again.
The fund will provide loans up to $100,000 and grants up to $20,000 for small businesses hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic. Requests for applications can be found at www.pueblo.us.
