Yesterday, March 19, 2020, the Governor issued an order limiting public gatherings to no more than 10 people. The Court is unable to meet this restriction with the current limited public access policy. Therefore, in its continued effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), the Pueblo Municipal Court will be closed to the public from Monday, March 23, 2020 through Friday, April 24, 2020. The Court anticipates re-opening to the public on Monday, April 27, 2020.
Cases will still be handled in a fair, just and impartial manner during this time with the same high standards of accountability, integrity and equity. The court will remain in communication with the community. Please continue to check back on the court’s website for updated information regarding the status of the court’s closure and handling of cases.
All trials between March 23, 2020 and April 24, 2020 are vacated and will be rescheduled for 42 days. A new trial date will be mailed to the defendant and/or attorney at the addresses on file with the Court. If you do not receive a new trial date or have any questions, please call (719) 562-3810.
Speedy trial is tolled on all cases effective immediately and will recommence upon Order of the Court.
