There’s a new look for the City of Pueblo website on line.
The Information Technology Department unveiled its update to the city’s internet presence on Tuesday.
You’ll still find information about maps, city programs, contacting the City Council and city departments, registering for Parks and Recreation Department
offerings, paying fines, and city business.
The most important change is the ease of which users will be able to access the site.
“The whole purpose of this whole design was to make it more mobile ready, and we feel we accomplished that”, says Media Systems Administrator Bobby Cuomo.
I.T. Director Lori Pinz says that back in 2014, the last time the site was updated, mobile device contact was just over 70 percent. That number is now above 90 percent.
The website update is the result of more than six months of work between Cuomo and internet design company CivicPlus.
The City of Pueblo website is an award winner, having been recognized by surveys through the Center for Digital Government and Digital Communities magazine. The survey examines how information technology is entwined with city operations which enhance citizens experiences with local government.
Over the past ten years, the city website has placed in the top ten nine times.
