Council Member Honored

Council Representative Larry AtencioThe Colorado Municipal League, which represents cities across the state, is honoring a Pueblo City Council member for his participation in Leadership training offered by the organization. 2nd District Representative Larry Atencio was recognized during the CML’s 95th annual meeting this past month in Denver. The Municipal League recognized municipal elected officials who reached milestone levels in its MUNIversity program which is a leadership program for municipal elected officials. Council Representative Atencio was recognized for completing 30 training credits in the program.

Atencio currently is a board member on the Colorado Municipal League’s executive body, and also has served on that board three times in the past. The Colorado Municipal League is one of the oldest in the state having represented cities since 1923.
