Black Hills Energy presents ElectriCritters at the Pueblo Zoo! Bring your family and friends to the kickoff of a Pueblo holiday favorite! 250,000 lights and over 150 sculptures throughout the zoo make for a magical night. The evening will start with the announcement of the Gingerbread contest winners. There will also be a special appearance from a couple friends from the North Pole, holiday kid’s crafts, hot chocolate, candy canes, cookie decorating, and more! Tree lighting at 6:00pm.
Last admission at 8pm.
Register to enter your gingerbread house starting November 1st and join us November 27th to see all the entries and the awards.
Get your gingerbread house materials together and get in the holiday spirit
with friends and family on a fun project! Build your version of the perfect gingerbread house (we want to see WILD ideas!) and get it to the zoo on November 27st and the winners will be announced at the Tree lighting ceremony on the opening night of ElectriCritters.
There are three categories guests can enter. Adult/Family, Youth Division and the Child Division (the child’s division is not judged. All kids receive a certificate).

Race into the holiday season at the Jingle Bell Run, to kick-off Pueblo's Annual Parade of Lights! This is a fun run for a great cause. The run begins on the west side of the Rawlings Library and ends at 6th & Court. Be sure to wear your most festive fashion, as you wave to friends & family on TV! Start the season off right by participating in the Jingle Bell Run! All proceeds will benefit the child abuse prevention and investigation program at the Pueblo Child Advocacy Center where we empower children and strengthen families by reducing trauma and restoring hope.

Trash and debris removed at specific locations around the city of Pueblo, within the parks and on the trails. You or your business can organize a clean-up for any of the parks or trails just contact the Volunteer Coordinator.
Adopt a Park, Trail, Streetscape or Playground
This gives businesses, non-profit organizations, families, individuals, groups and neighborhood associations the option of volunteering or contributing funds to maintain and adopt any of Pueblo’s beautiful parks, trails, streetscapes or playground.
Help us set up and/or break down events for the community of Pueblo, help with volunteer registration and accept event tickets. Most importantly have fun!
