Development Review Committee ("SRC")
If you or your consultants have questions about development, our city agencies can help. One or more agencies will answer your question depending on the scope of work.
Land Use Administration
If it’s an advanced question about land use, planning or zoning, then city planners will confer with the Land Use Administrative Official.
Applicable agencies
If it’s a question pertaining to City Public Works Engineering Division, Transportation, Wastewater, Stormwater, Fire Protection, etc., then the Planning office will refer you to applicable agencies.
Land use actions with the Planning & Zoning Commission
If you need to prepare for an annexation, rezone, lot line rearrangement, subdivision, special area plan, vacation, and/or a planned unit development, then you can meet with most of those city agencies with the Subdivision Review Committee (“SRC”). The SRC is the development review committee.
Preliminary site plan review
If you have a site plan with complicated questions for three or more city agencies, then it may be worthwhile for the SRC to meet about it.
How to schedule a meeting with the SRC
The SRC includes staff from city agencies and meets every Wednesday at the Planning office on 211 East D Street, 81003. Generally, appointments are every Wednesday morning at 9, 9:30, 10, and 10:30. Appointments are by reservation only, so please call our front office when ready: 719-553-2259. Please provide your name, phone and e-mail, and reason for meeting.
