Position: School Safety Observer 

Responsible to:

Sgt Velarde, Jennifer Parker (coordinator)

Location:

Pueblo Police Department, District 60 Schools (including charter schools)

General Description:

The School Resource Officers maintains safety in District 60. The school safety observer will help maintain safety by reporting valuable feedback to the SRO.

Responsibilities:

You will visit District 60 schools, make observations per a checklist provided by the SRO and report findings. 

Time Requirements:

Weekly, 3-4 hour shifts (M-Th, 8a-3p only)

Training:

You will be trained by the SRO by visiting a school together and a detailed explanation of expectations.

Qualifications:

You will need to be able to walk long distances, have the ability to drive and be detailed oriented.
