Position: History Assistant
Responsible to:
Peg Powell (Volunteer), Jennifer Parker (Coordinator)
Location:
Pueblo Police Department, Community Services Division, Pueblo area
General Description:
The volunteer department is working on rebuilding the history of the Pueblo Police Department from 1886 to current. This includes past officers, cases, buildings, and events. Ultimately, the goal is to create a published photo and history album and a possible future museum.
Responsibilities:
You will be doing research to compile and chronicle old journals, files, pictures, etc.
Time Requirements:
Weekly, 2+ hours a week
Training:
You will receive training by our current volunteer historian on best practices of preservation
Qualifications:
You will need to have extensive research abilities, a passion for Pueblo history, an ability to sit for long periods of time.
