Introduction to Fly Fishing

Saturday, June 10
Location: Arkansas River Trail trail head, below City Park
All ages
$25 pre-registration is required; must be registered by 5:00pm, Friday, June 9.

This class is geared toward teaching you the fundamentals of fly fishing.  With the Arkansas River flowing right through the city of Pueblo, fly fishing is a great pastime! Some of the basics that will be covered is; fish identification and characteristics, equipment, knots, fly selection and casting. Class must reach minimum capacity to run.  Equipment will be provided, or you may bring your own as well. Limited space is available. Sign up early.

Kid’s Night Out

Fee: $18 first child/$15 each additional child.
Must be registered by 5:00pm the Thursday, before the event.

Every parent needs to take a break occasionally. With Kid’s Night Out, this program offers the perfect opportunity to take that well-deserved break. Drop off your registered child for a night full of fun.  With a night bursting with arts, crafts and games.  Pizza, juice and pudding will be served for dinner and a movie to end the night. Program must reach minimum capacity to run. Limited space is available. Sign up early!

Hands on Bike Repair

Ages: 12-adult
Fee: $15 must be registered by 12:00pm the day of the class.

Bring your bike in and prepare to get your hands dirty! This hands-on class will show you how to lube your bike, adjust your breaks and fix a flat tire.  Also, riding safety and etiquette will be discussed. Parents are encouraged to attend with children ages 12-15. Registrants will receive a Pueblo Parks and Recreation water bottle the day of the class. Class must reach minimum capacity to run.  Limited space is available. Sign up early!

Yoga in the Park

Fee: $5 each class

Start your day off right with Yoga in the Park. Increase energy, gain flexibility and improve your overall physical shape in a class that focuses on good health and stress management. All levels welcome.

Introduction to Disc Golf

Fee: $5 Must be registered by Friday, September 8.

Disc Golf is an incredibly addictive game that can be played by anyone who can throw a disc.  Disc Golf provides a low-impact exercise that requires mental strategy and offers an avenue for people of every skill level to play together.  The class will meet at the George L. Williams Pavilion where a quick lesson on terms, rules, etiquette, equipment, and courses in the area will be covered. Then, it’s off to the City Park disc course to learn throwing techniques and practice your newly discovered skills. Equipment will be provided for the class.
