LAP SWIM

Swimming is defined to be a very healthy activity that can be continued through most of an individual's life, due to its low impact on joints, muscles, and bones. The health benefits associated with swimming are worth the effort to give it a try if you haven't already! Swimming works practically every muscle in the body (dependent on the variety of strokes you do). Regular lap swimming can develop and maintain an individual's general strength, cardiovascular fitness, and endurance.
MORNING LAP SWIM   
 Bessemer Park Pool Monday through Thursday, 7 am to 8:30am 
EVENING LAP SWIM   
 Mineral Palace Park Pool Monday through Thursday, 5:30pm to 7:00pm   
DROP-IN ADMISSION   
 All Ages $2.00 per participant                                    
SWIM PASSES   
 All Ages                                $50.00                                                                          
 Good for 25 pool admissions
 Can be used for any Open Swim or Family Swim session, Lap Swim or Aqua Dance class

 

AQUA DANCING

Do you like to dance? Then our new summer aqua fitness program is for YOU! Aqua Dancing sessions incorporate a variety of dances set to international music which give participants a sculpting aerobic workout. think of it as Zumba in the Pool! Instructors will encourage participants to clap and cheer during the session to promote a "party-like" workout atmosphere. In addition to cardio-conditioning, this trendy aqua-aerobics session will incorporate stretching and strengthening components.
