The Pueblo Fire Department has ten fire stations that are strategically located throughout the City to provide the highest level of service and protection to its residents. A minimum of 36 fire fighters are scheduled on-duty per day. The on-duty Assistant Chief provides the overall command and direction of fire suppression personnel. There are three suppression shifts (A, B, C) that work 24 hours per shift. The apparatus that are deployed from these stations include 10 Engines, one Ladder Truck, one Heavy Rescue Squad, one Suppression Chief vehicle, one Hazardous Materials Unit, two four wheel drive Brush vehicles, rescue boat & raft, and a water tender (water tanker).
