Professional Experience:    2000 - Present        Director of Staff Education, Colorado Mental Health Institute at Pueblo (CMHIP), Pueblo, CO

                                         1997 - 1999           Manager of Provider Services, Central Division, Foundation Health Systems, Inc. (QualMed, Inc.), Pueblo, CO

                                          1995 – 1997          Co-Executive Director, Southeastern Colorado Area Health Education Center, Pueblo, CO

                                          1989 – 1995          Education and Project Coordinator, Southeastern Colorado Area Health Education Center, Pueblo, CO

 

Community Activities :            Current Member of Pueblo Area Council of Governments (PACOG), Pueblo Economic Development Corporation (PEDCO) Board of Directors, and Commissioner of Colorado Commission on Higher Education (CCHE) (2001-2007 term).  Past member of Parkview Medical Center Board of Directors (1996 to 2005), Colorado Forum (2001 to 2005), Colorado Public Radio Pueblo Advisory Board (2003 through 2005), Pueblo WorkLink Advisory Board (1999 through 2003), Sangre De Cristo Hospice Board of Directors (1999 through 2002), and Pueblo District #60 Board of Education (1993 through 2001, past President).  

 

 

Special Achievements :           Appointed by Colorado Governor Bill Owens in 2001 to serve as Commissioner for the Colorado Commission on Higher Education (CCHE) as a representative of the Third Congressional District.  Served as Chair of CCHE October 2004-2005.
