On Saturday 11-24-12, Pueblo Police Detective Purvis was working the Parade of Lights.  While giving directions to a driver he was struck by another vehicle.  Detective Purvis was transported to Parkview Hospital where it was determined he did not suffer any broken bones, but there is a possibility of a fracture. The department is thankful that he was not injured more seriously.  Charges against the driver are pending.
