Police Patrol Officer

Required Qualifications
To be considered for the position of police patrol officer with the Pueblo Police Department, candidates must:
    • be a U.S. citizen at time of application deadline date;
    • be at least 21 years of age at time of application deadline date;
    • have an Associate’s Degree or higher, or at least 60 college semester hours or 90 college quarter hours from an accredited college or university at time of application deadline date;
    • possess a valid driver’s license (any state) at time of application and obtain a valid Colorado driver's license by date of hire;
    • successfully pass a written examination;
    • not have been convicted of the following:
    • not have been released or discharged from the Armed Forces of the United States under dishonorable conditions.
A Colorado P.O.S.T. Certificate is highly desirable.

Candidates must also be willing to submit to and successfully pass a post conditional offer drug screen, polygraph, psychological, criminal background check and comprehensive medical examination designed to measure the candidate's ability to perform the physical requirements of the position.
